Presented by: Hampton Roads Jazz Inc.Now in its fourth year, the 2026 Phoebus Jazz Festival, produced by Hampton Roads Jazz Incorporated (HR Jazz), presents two nights of exciting and swingin jazz from local, national and international musicians at the American TheatreThis year’s amazing lineup - September 25th: Back by popular demand...the soulful Latin Jazz sounds of The Latin Jazz Conspiracy - Saxophonist extraordinaire Ada Rovatti and the Quartet featuring pianist Gary Fisher - the fantastic vocalist Lori Williams with the Quartet featuring pianist Dr Weldon Hill and Hampton Roads drumming legend Jae Sinnett. On September 26th: One of the swingin’-est drummers to come out of the Commonwealth, Billy Williams and his Quartet - The sensational pianist Justin Kauflin and wrapping up the festival and brought back too by popular demand the electrifying saxophonist, Eric Marienthal! What a swingin’ fun way to close it out!Hampton Roads-based drummer/educator and HR Jazz Executive Director and Festival Producer Jae Sinnett created the festival to fill a straight ahead swingin’ jazz void with jazz festivals for the Hampton Roads community. “I wanted to bring a real jazz context to the area festivals here in Hampton Roads, where people are swingin’ and being exposed to this beautiful, soulful music” Sinnett says. "We hope to see you there!"For Sinnett, the festival continues to grow and showcase the amazing diversity of the music. “Bringing in some Latin jazz as an example, reflects well on world music and the beautiful Latino community. So, by popular demand, we're bringing back the Latin Jazz Conspiracy. They played last year’s festival and killed it!” Sinnett explains. “There are a lot of people that dig jazzier fusion and straight-ahead jazz so we’re bringing in master saxophonist Ada Rovatti with the Quartet. Closing out the Friday night show is the amazingly versatile vocalist Lori Williams. Saturdays show kicks off with the swinging Billy Williams Quartet then we're bringing a Hampton Roads favorite, pianist Justin Kauflin. Closing out the festival will be another artist we're bringing back by popular demand...saxophonist and Chick Corea Elektric Band alumni, Eric Marienthal! From smooth to jazz...Eric kills it!
