For centuries Christmas and Wren’s Day has been celebrated with Irish music and song. There is no better way to celebrate the holiday than to enjoy a glorious celebration of Christmas from Ireland. Danú is known for their standing room only concerts throughout Ireland that feature high-energy performances with an unforgettable mix of ancient Irish music and new repertoire.
Lead vocalist, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, will showcase her talent and sing traditional Irish songs including Miss Fogarty’s Christmas Cake, Le Coinnle na N’Aingeal, and Oiche Chiuin (Silent Night). She has toured the world with her music visiting countries as far flung as India, Bulgaria and Jordan and performed for such dignitaries as An t-Uachtarán Mary McAleese, An Taoiseach, The President of Bulgaria and the EU Assembly.
Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh is joined by Benny McCarthy (Button Accordion), Donal Clancy (Guitar & Vocals), Oisin Mcauley (Fiddle & Backing Vocals), Éamon Doorley (The Irish Bouzouki & Backing Vocals), and Martin O’Neill (Bodhran & Piano) for a remarkable Christmas gathering!
