Call for Entries

2026 Small Works Exhibition 

Exhibition Dates:  December 5^th,2026 – January 16^th, 2027

Submission Deadline:  Sunday, October 25^th at 11:59pm

Online submissions for the Hampton Arts 2026 Small Works Exhibition at the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center in Hampton, VA are now being accepted by all Hampton regional and Virginia artists.

Eligibility:

Artists who live in the state of Virginia (ages 18 and over) are invited to submit up to six original artworks for consideration. Original artworks created by the artist within the past two years and not previously shown at the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center are eligible. Two-dimensional artworks must be no larger than 8 x 10 inches (INCLUDING FRAME). Three-dimensional works must be no larger than 8 inches on any side. 2D artworks smaller than 20 square inches and 3D artworks smaller than 5 inches cubed are considered Miniatures. Open to all media. Artwork must be properly labeled on the back (Name, Title, Media, etc.) Accepted artworks must be delivered dry and ready to hang (no sawtooth hangers) and remain on view for the duration of the exhibition. (CHTVAC reserves the right to refuse artworks that do not meet installation requirements or are otherwise judged unsuitable).

Submission deadline is Sunday, October 25^th at 11:59pm

The entry fee is $40 ($35 for current Hampton Arts League members) for up to six artworks. Submissions can be made online through EntryThingy.
