Pledge Payments

Another gift option is to make a pledge payable at a later date or in a series of installments. You can specify if and when you would like to be reminded to pay your pledge.

Matching Gifts

You may have the opportunity to double or even triple the value of your gift. Many companies offer matching gift programs to their employees as part of the benefits package. Please contact your Human Resources Office to learn more about your company's matching gift policy and to determine if you are eligible for a matching gift.

Stock Gifts

Donors are discovering the ease and added benefits of giving gifts of appreciated securities. Often giving a gift of stock can create tax savings for the donor while fulfilling their philanthropic wishes, creating a double benefit!

An electronic transfer is the easiest way to make a gift of stock. Please call Hampton Arts Foundation’s Development Office to find out more about how to effect transfers to our fund accounts.

Gifts of Real Property

Marketable real estate, artwork, and other similar property are assets with which you may make a significant gift to Hampton Arts Foundation. All gifts of real property must be reviewed and approved in advance by the Foundation’s Executive Committee.

A gift of real estate will entitle you to a federal income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the property. You will need to substantiate this value with an appraisal. You may take this deduction for up to thirty percent of your adjusted gross income and any excess over that amount you may carry over for up to five additional years.

A personal residence, vacation home or farm offers another giving option. You may give a remainder interest to Hampton Arts Foundation while you retain the right to remain in and maintain the property for life. A gift of such a remainder interest entitles you to a charitable deduction equal to the present value of the Foundation’s remainder interest.
