Instructor: Phoebus High School Dance Team
Class Description: Come join Phoebus High School Dance Team Sweet Essence as they teach dances for all skill levels. The theme of this workshop is Dancing Through the Decades. The songs will all be from specific decades including the 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s. There will also be a Showcase that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. so parents can see what their kiddos have learned. Participants need to wear athletic clothing and either sneakers or jazz shoes. Everyone also needs to bring water and a sack lunch.

Class Description: This class is targeted for neurodivergent students. The goal of this class is to allow participants to build on their creativity and confidence. This allows for the students to also grow their community. Students will participate in games and exercises geared specifically for their accommodations. The last class will be a short presentation where each student can present a talent of their choice, including singing, dancing, acting, telling jokes, etc. Aids and caregivers are encouraged to attend at no additional costs!

Solo Performance Workshop - Sat & Sun, Jan 27 & 28

Class Description: Everyone has a story to tell, let’s find yours! In this class, students will have the opportunity to write and perform their own personal stories. You get to decide what you share and what you keep private. Students will learn how to take these stories and put them together in the form of a 3-5-minute solo performance.
Upon completing the Solo Performance class, students will have the skills, confidence, and repertoire to pursue solo performance opportunities in various settings, such as theaters, music venues, and more. They will also gain a deeper understanding of themselves as artists and be better equipped to express their unique creative voices.

Class Description: Get ready to groove, dance, and immerse yourself in the electrifying world of K-Pop with our K-Pop Dance Workshop! This workshop is your ticket to learning the latest dance moves, choreography, and style inspired by the hottest K-Pop groups from Seoul.
Whether you're a dedicated K-Pop fan or just looking to have a blast while dancing, this class is perfect for all dance enthusiasts. Participants will learn two dances from our instructor who is a local K-Pop enthusiast. Dances might include ones from popular groups including New Jeans, BlackPink, and BTS to name a few.

Class Description: Come learn dances to well-known musical theatre numbers! Musical Theatre Dance is an engaging and dynamic class that explores the art of dance within the context of musical theater productions. This class is designed for individuals of all skill levels, from beginners with little to no dance experience to seasoned performers looking to enhance their dance skills.
Students will have the opportunity to learn dances to musical theatre songs from shows such as Chicago, Hamilton, Rent and so many more! At the final class, participants will have the opportunity to purchase alcohol as a celebratory finish to the class session. Please wear closed-toe shoes that you can dance in.

Class Description: This class is for teens who want to do it all! This Teen Acting Class is designed to empower young actors aged 12 to 18 with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to express themselves through the art of acting. Whether your teen dreams of becoming a professional actor or simply want to explore their creativity and build self-confidence, this class offers a supportive and enriching environment.
For those who want to be funny, we will be working on improvisation and even a little stand-up comedy. If you are more into dramatic acting we will be doing monologues and scenes. This class will allow students to learn multiple disciplines of acting while having fun with games and exercises.

Class Description: Come play with us as we explore visual and performing arts. This camp will be a little bit of everything. Theatre camp is an immersive and creative experience designed for children who have a passion for the performing arts. It offers a unique and enriching environment where participants can explore and develop their theatrical talents while building essential life skills.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore acting through games and exercises. Then the artist can come alive when we work to draw sets, costumes, and makeup designs. We will also be doing other fun arts and crafts. Participants can enjoy this camp for one day or all five! Participants need to bring a lunch, two snacks, and a bottle of water.

Class Description: This Princess Party Class is a delightful and imaginative experience designed to transport young participants into the enchanting world of princesses, castles, and fairy tales. This magical class is tailored for elementary-aged children, igniting their creativity, encouraging self-expression, and fostering friendships in a fun and whimsical setting.
Through a variety of activities, crafts, and role-playing, young princes and princesses will embark on a journey of royal discovery. Participants will develop social skills such as cooperation, sharing, and communication through interactive group activities.
